The story is both relatable and absolutely hilarious. After using 3 Angler’s Fortune potions and burning through 700 glow worms, they ended up with… well, just the Maws plush to show for it. And if you know Palia’s sense of humor, that little plush consolation prize is perfectly on-brand for the game’s quirky charm!
But here’s where things get interesting for all of us fishing enthusiasts. The player raises a really valid point: Angler’s Fortune potions don’t actually tell you HOW MUCH of a bonus they’re giving you. Like, is it a 10% boost? 50%? Who even knows?! That lack of transparency can definitely make you feel like you’re throwing resources at the water and hoping for the best. It’s tough when you’re trying to optimize your fishing strategy and you’re just guessing whether a potion is actually helping your odds.
This is the kind of feedback that could actually help Palia improve the fishing experience for everyone. Better tooltips showing exact bonus percentages would go a LONG way toward making us feel confident in our potion choices. For now, just know that even with all the help potions can offer, the rare catches are still gonna be rare—but hey, at least you might get a plush buddy out of the deal!
