We’ve got a frustrating bug report coming in from the Switch community that we wanted to highlight because, let’s be honest, losing your carefully gathered ingredients is NOT the vibe. A player recently shared that they’re getting stuck at the prep station mid-recipe while cooking on Switch, and it’s causing them to lose progress and precious ingredients in the process.
Here’s what’s happening: during cooking, some players find themselves unable to move from the prep station even after trying the “unstuck” command. When they use that option, they end up stranded in front of their plot with no way forward except to reload the entire game. The real bummer? Whatever recipe they were working on disappears, along with any ingredients they’d already prepped — which stings especially hard when you’ve invested time gathering things like butter, oil, and soy sauce that require extra effort to obtain.
The player noted that while losing a simple veggie soup isn’t the end of the world, losing more complex recipes with multiple rare ingredients is definitely a bigger hit to the heart (and the pantry!).
